Rockdale Temple Communications Intern
Rockdale Temple is a Reform congregation of 375 families celebrating more than 200 years of living Jewish values! Our congregation is warm and welcoming, and we take pride in being an inclusive congregation. We offer prayer & celebration, engagement opportunities, and programming for all ages and stages. Rockdale Temple is the oldest Jewish congregation west of the Allegheny Mountains AND is proud to be forward thinking and innovative in all we do.
Position Responsibilities
- Create graphics, content, and other marketing material for digital and print publication and social media
- Manage social media presence on Instagram and Facebook; explore new social media avenues
- Work with professionals at Jewfolk Media, Inc. to implement Rockdale’s new branding across the Temple’s communications
- Update Rockdale’s website with new language, pictures, graphics, widgets, functionality, and site-mapping
- Assist in designing annual High Holy Days program guide
- Help coordinate special events (shabbatCTY, Rockdale PRIDE, affinity group programs)
- Participate in staff meetings, partner with full-time staff and lay leaders, and get meaningful experience working on a non-profit team. Intern is welcome to shadow any staff members, including Executive Director and clergy.
